What is a GROW Team?

Grow Teams are an exciting way to actively be a part of a covenant group of 3-5 CPCers of any age who are committed to encouraging each other to “Grow” in the knowledge of God’s Word.

WHO?

A Grow Team member can be any CPCer who is committed to scripture memory. This is not a competition. Anyone who is willing to GROW in community while GROWING in the word is welcome to join in.

WHAT?

During a typical meeting, GROW Team members can do some or all of the following:

• share the verses they are learning –

• share briefly what the Holy Spirit is teaching them through the verses

• pray for each other “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness…(Eph.6:12a).

• celebrate completed verses with each other*This may involve turning in names for incentives.

• Optional but encouraged:  find opportunities to fellowship outside of regular worship service times.   Example:  attend a concert or event together, eat a fellowship meal together on Sunday, visit a park together. 

WHEN?

GROW teams meet briefly each week at around 10:40, before the worship service begins.

HOW?

The power comes from God. “For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”  (Philippians 2:13)  Practically speaking, there are several tips and resources available.
